Worship services and Schedule

Joyful and uplifting, worship at Trinity embraces the breadth of the Anglican tradition, as expressed in the 1979 Book of Common Prayer

Our regular worship is centered in the celebration of Holy Eucharist, known by Christians of other denominations as Holy Communion, the Lord’s Supper, or Mass.

All are welcome.

Sunday worship services are at 8 AM and 10:30 AM.

Both services are celebrations of the Holy Eucharist. The 8 AM service is a simple, quiet service which includes a sermon and the more traditional language of the Prayer Book. The 10:30 AM service includes the parish choir, hymns, and more contemporary language. Nursery care is available for the 10:30 AM service year round.  On Wednesdays we celebrate a simple service of Holy Eucharist at 12:15 PM.

During certain liturgical seasons and on special Holy Days there are additional services offered. Offerings of Evening Prayer, Morning Prayer, Healing Services and Taize Services are celebrated at different times during the year.

Trinity Episcopal Church welcomes all Baptized Christians to receive Holy Communion. Baptized children of any age are welcome at the Communion rail to receive Communion or a blessing at the discretion of their parents. Congregational participation is a hallmark of worship in the Episcopal Church. The service bulletin, available from an usher at the entrance of the church, guides you through the service, utilizing the Book of Common Prayer and the hymnal, which are available in every pew.

Episcopal worship is not a spectator sport! The congregation is active in the Episcopal Church, sharing in the readings, the spoken prayers and the music. Standing, sitting and kneeling are all a part of our worship. Generally we stand to sing, for the Affirmation of Faith and for the reading of the Gospel Lesson. Some people stand at the Communion Rail and for prayer, though most people kneel for both. The members of our church are welcoming and friendly. If you have any questions the person sitting near you should be happy to give you help. Although there are many life long Episcopalians in our parish, there are also many who are relatively new to the Episcopal Church. We are all learning as we go on our journey of faith. No one should ever feel awkward about asking a question or needing a little help along the way.
